Dianna Smith is an ACAD alumni who specializes in sculpture and design. She has been making wired wearables since 2012 and has participated in five Maker Faires, a few Make Fashion shows and has recently presented an installation at Theatre Junction. She continues to look for opportunities to showcase her work. Dianna has volunteered in classrooms in the Calgary Board of Education, helping students think about design with their own wearable creations. Dianna is an enthusiastic advocate for all things Maker; a passion she shares with her sister and partner, Shawna Davey and her two creative daughters.

Shawna Davey is a Grade 5 teacher with the Calgary Board of Education. She has participated in five Maker Faires, a few Make Fashion shows and recently participated in an installation at Theatre Junction with her sister Dianna Smith. Shawna is an advocate for all things Maker and merging Design Learn Thinking with creative projects. She helps with Wired Wearables by working with electrical components as well as learning to code and solder. Shawna, her husband, and twin daughters are actively involved and passionate about the Maker Movement.
