Homebuilt UH-14P Hovercraft

Flying & Aeronautics
This project is a UH-14P hovercraft which I home-built from plans, it was completed "start to finish" over a period of 2 1/2 years. It is powered by a 30hp air-cooled engine, it will travel over dry land, snow, ice or water at speeds up to 90km/h.

My 48 years professional life working in the architectural and engineering fields as a draftsman/designer contributed immensely to my interest in designing and building. It has become my passion over the past few years to design and build. My 3D CAD system has helped me to design and build a variety of very different projects. These projects include more than a dozen custom-built horse barns, two home-built hovercraft, a 30' x16' x 7' half pipe skate board ramp, a baseball pitching machine, the deck and pergola on our home and a variety of other smaller projects. I am currently working on my own personal hovercraft design.
